The staff in reception are friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. In fact, during our stay, we rarely met any other guests in there. Although shared, the bathroom for our floor was always clean and with two toilets, two showers and a urinal, I would say that it is ample for the number of rooms sharing it. Being able to step out onto a small balcony with a view of the city is a bonus (we stayed on the 4th floor). The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We found the hostel to be perfect overall. My friends and I stayed in a 4 bedroom private room for 4 nights. I will never recommend that place and I will even spend some time to damage their online reputation. it is a very low level hotel for a high price. when I explained that he might have offered snacks or small food, he did not understand. barman when I asked him what he has aside of drinks, his reply was so low lever: What do you think I can have? it is a bar. did not seem double windowed either we could hear the street. changed room once to have even more issues. no discount nothing for the hassle it has been there. I told him that if he cannot make a VMC changed I do not know how he is a manager. asked him to fix the VMC, there was too much humidity to which he replied that he is not god. head manager of the hotel not listening and almost rude. ceiling damage and micro pieces falling in bathroom AC filter dirty, walls in cupboard, could hear the couple next door having sex every time.
Front desk staff has no control over peopleĪC not working properly, no food in room, no mini bar, uncomfortable, old property needind minor renovation, many things not working such as shower head, sink not draining enough, sometimes not cleaned well. I have some concerns as it pertains to safety. Maintenance needs to pay closer attention to the aging property. Housekeeping is marginal, and must be improved. I do believe the hotel is ill equipped to handle the high volume of guests that stay here.
It is surrounded by transit options that provide direct links to cities all across the country. Again, better maintenance would remedy these concerns. They stopped working at times, leaving me stuck. I experienced difficulties in the elevators.
#OCEANARIUM BRUNCH MENU CRACKED#
Some surfaces were cracked and not functional. The hotel shows it’s apparent age on the exterior, and in the elevators. While the rooms were updated and contemporary, the bathrooms were rundown. When I necessitated maintenance, I was told I would have to wait for the following morning when the technician would be available. The hotel would benefit from having maintenance and housekeeping readily available and on call for assistance. Staff worked hard to keep surfaces in the lobby disinfected, however, their efforts were undermined by thousands of guests utilizing these areas. Cigarettes littered the pool deck and common areas in the hotel. Oftentimes, the corridors reeked of smoke. The hotel did not specially publicize a smoking policy. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were very poor quality. In addition, one of the blankets was stained. The curtains had small rips and were stained. Towels oftentimes had rips or stains on them. Some days, my room was cleaned impeccably, others, housekeeping was abysmal or nonexistent. The room itself was contemporary and updated, however, housekeeping was inconsistent. I stayed in an Executive Single Room during my week here. That was also unfortunate, as images and descriptions on websites were misleading. A bar is located in the lobby, but opens late and closes early in the evening, making it inaccessible. Wifi was available, but weak in certain parts of the hotel.
More attention to detail would remedy these issues. Unfortunately, it was often overcrowded and littered with garbage. More specifically, in terms of amenities, the hotel boasts a beautiful outdoor pool area. In addition, dinner was expensive and extremely limited. From a value point of view, I expected a bit more. In addition, the food offered in the hotel’s restaurant was of high quality. Employees were all compassionate and professional. This hotel has so much potential, and some more attention in a few areas would go a long way in transforming this property to one of a higher quality. My recent stay at the VIP Executive Zurique Hotel was acceptable.
